Project Overview
This project visualizes complex research and strategic insights in a single-page infographic accessible to both members and potential clients. The case study, “Build Awareness to Secure Investor Financing,” was used as the featured example.
My Role
In this project, I co-hosted the in-take session with a designer in order to understand the key message and create a wireframe. Furthermore, I designed the high-fidelity piece as final deliverable.
Problem Statement
Researchers find challenge of visualizing and summarizing from a deck with content heavy to one-page infographic because they are looking for a guidance to convey the research better in visual.
Design Process

In-Take Session
In the session, the stakeholder walked us through their concept and content with their draft of thought model. This is important to us to understand their perspective and catch the insight through it. We focused on key points from the stakeholder below:

Design Solution
Researchers need a visually appealing infographic to share with the targeted audience because they need a clear vision to demonstrate their impactful insight in business strategies.
Wireframing
After gathering all the information needed, we developed iterations in wireframes through collaboration sessions with UX designers to address the content according to stakeholder's needs.
Why this step important?
Through this process, the team will save a lot of time on visual redo due to copy changes. Moreover, stakeholder would not be distracted easily by themed colours applied.


High-Fidelity Design
Based on the wireframe, we polished the design to high-fidelity deliverable. We have successfully delivered other thought model projects through the same work process.

What I learned
✔️ Through this project, intake session was important part to facilitate the design process and unnecessary adjustments.
✔️ Wireframe process saved a significantly amount of working time to back and forward in our design phase. Moreover, keeping the wireframe in neutral that taking away the colours, icons and decorative graphic helped the stakeholder to be concentrated on the decisions for the context rather than others related to design.
✔️ Through workshops with stakeholders, it helped to gain trust between research and design team gradually in the long run. This would smooth the communication and eliminate gaps in between in future projects.
Next Steps:
✔️ We should put the actual copy and logos in the wireframe so that we see its capacity much more clearly in the frame.
✔️ Set up a simple guideline such as typography for headline and body. With this guideline, we could ensure the legibility and accessibility of the content when we apply the design treatment.
✔️ Explore potential creativities and lines in order to distinguish every unique piece to others as the branding treatments including colour palettes and typography has been widely apply to the projects.
